Drooms and EOS Partners enter into partnership for the next growth phase

Private equity investor EOS Partners is the new majority shareholder of the due diligence platform Drooms. As part of the transaction, co-founder and co-CEO Jan Hoffmeister will leave the company after 25 years. Likewise, J.F. Müller & Sohn AG will withdraw from the company's capital. Alexandre Grellier will continue to lead Drooms as CEO.

In addition to capital, EOS brings its particular expertise in scaling high-growth technology companies. The company focuses on building European growth companies in the fields of software/tech-enabled services, industrial tech, and healthcare. Together with EOS, Drooms aims to further expand its market position, accelerate international expansion, and continue to advance digitalisation and AI-based automation across the entire transaction process. The long-term goal is to develop into the leading European platform for real asset investments.

Drooms builds on a strong economic foundation; thus, record revenues and profits were achieved in 2024 and 2025 despite challenging times in the transaction markets. In 2025, overall growth of around 20% was achieved, and recurring revenues (Net Retention Rate) also increased by 120%.

"The choice of investor was very important to us. We were looking for a long-term growth partner who shares our values and commitment to digital sovereignty, uncompromising security, and EU-based data processing. Our business model has proven highly successful, and together with EOS Partners, we are now taking the next step in scaling that success. This is evolution at pace, not a revolution. The fact that a German private equity firm is investing in a German technology leader makes this partnership an especially strong strategic fit and completes the overall picture for us," explains Alexandre Grellier, CEO of Drooms.

"Drooms combines technological leadership, a strong AI product, and an exceptionally clear market positioning," says Philipp Wegener, partner at EOS. "The company addresses a highly attractive European market with significant growth potential. We look forward to supporting Alexandre Grellier and the entire team on their further growth path."

Jan Hoffmeister, co-founder of Drooms and, alongside Alexandre Grellier, the former co-CEO, has decided to leave the company with the entry of EOS Partners and to dedicate himself to private projects. "I built Drooms together with Alexandre for 25 years. Developing Drooms has been an extraordinary entrepreneurial journey for me. I look forward to continuing to follow Drooms' successful path from the sidelines," explains Jan Hoffmeister.

"Jan played a key role in developing the idea for Drooms and our platform at the time. Together, we worked for 25 years to bring the company to where it is today. I also hope to continue being able to count on his advice. We will continue to follow the path we have outlined in recent years," says Grellier. "I would also like to thank our former partner and companion J.F. Müller & Sohn AG for the last 15 years of excellent collaboration."

Drooms was advised by Dr. Leube, Lead Partner at Simmons & Simmons, and Tobias Warkus, Managing Director at Stifel Financial Corp. EOS was advised by GOF (Munich), NKF (Zurich), Altman Solon (Munich), Code&Co. (Berlin), KPMG (Munich) and EY (Stuttgart, Zurich).
