Seminar 'Geopolitics and the Future of Global Investing: How to Position your Portfolio for 2027' - General

Seminar 'Geopolitics and the Future of Global Investing: How to Position your Portfolio for 2027'

A new phase in the global economic order is emerging. Many investors view geopolitical fragmentation as a structural ‘mega force’, with globalisation gradually being reorganised into competing economic blocs. The IMF points to risks such as geopolitical fragmentation, escalating conflicts, trade tensions, elevated debt levels and the possibility that AI-driven productivity gains may fall short of market expectations. At the same time, the OECD warns that inflationary pressures may prove more persistent than anticipated, driven in part by energy market volatility and geopolitical instability.

These developments give rise to a number of important strategic questions that will be addressed during this seminar:

  • How fundamentally is geopolitical fragmentation reshaping the global investment landscape for institutional investors heading into 2027 and beyond?
  • Are investors entering a new investment regime defined by regionalisation, resilience and strategic autonomy, and what does this mean for strategic asset allocation?
  • What are the most important investment implications of great power competition between the US, China and Europe?
  • Which (geopolitical) risks are most underestimated by financial markets?
  • How to assess geopolitical risk in private markets?

On Thursday, 12 November 2026, from 11 am to 5.30 pm, Financial Investigator is hosting the educational seminar 'Geopolitics and the Future of Global Investing: How to Position your Portfolio for 2027'.
